Back                       MINES AND UNEXPLODED ORDNANCE

One of the terrible aftermaths of the war in 1992 to 1995 is the huge amount of mines and unexploded ordnance littering great swathes of Bosnia Herzegovina. Genesis Project has produced a booklet in conjunction with UNICEF to emphasise the hidden dangers of such explosives. The task of educating children, and adults, is one of the many projects undertaken by Genesis. The map on page 8 of the booklet will give you a good indication of the huge unresolved problem. It is a daunting, and extremely expensive task to de-mine, and will take countless years to fulfil. If you would like more detailed information click here
